This course consists of five, 90 minute live stream classes, with optional Q and A sessions at the end. You are provided with weekly reflection prompts, practices, and resources.

Embodied Wisdom is an exploration of the body as a source of intelligence, healing, and creative expression.
Through somatic movement, breath, and awareness, participants learn to listen to the body, build embodied self-awareness, release held tension, and restore natural patterns of movement, vitality, and regulation.
We leave feeling empowered with skills to not only recognize and work with our pain and past experiences, but the capacity to embody joy, freedom, and ease.
Over five weeks, participants will build a foundation of body awareness while learning simple tools for nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and embodied self-inquiry.
Week 1 — Returning to the Body:
Introduction to somatic movement, body scanning, and reawakening sensation. Establishing safety and awareness within the body. We discuss common impacts of trauma on the body and postural conditioning. If you have no experience with trauma and the body, this is still a powerful opportunity to learn about the nervous system and Somatic (lived) experience.
Week 2 — Retrieval:
This week we learn the core framework to our movement method throughout this course. It is accessible to all body types and levels of physical practice. We build range and mobility through and with the entire body as we learn about connective tissue (fascia) and create coherence through fluid, repetitive movement. We restore sensation in the body. Understanding how stress and trauma can affect the body, our expression, and presence. Working with tension patterns, developing biofeedback, and learning to release held energy through movement. Continuing to build embodied self-awareness.
Week 3 — Grounding & Emotional Flow:
Exploring the lower body—feet, hips, pelvis, and legs. Connecting to grounding, stability, and emotional expression, processing, and power.
Week 4 — Opening the Heart:
Working with movements that release, explore, and express the chest, shoulders, and upper body. Cultivating compassion, joy, self-love, and authentic expression. Learning self-soothing skills and nourishing/restoring the heart.
Week 5 — Integration & Expression:
Bringing the whole system together. Experiencing freedom in movement, integration of the practices, and reconnecting with the body’s natural creativity and play.

This course is about discovering yourself through connecting with personal truth-the truth we feel and express in and through our bodies.
Over five weeks, we explore how the body holds experience—and how, through intentional movement and awareness, it can also revitalize, regulate, and restore.
It is a playful, practical, embodied approach to healing, expression, and deeper self-connection.

This course is Trauma-informed, inclusive to all people and levels of movement capacity.
This course is certified by the Yoga Alliance as a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Resource. Registered Yoga teachers and other approved practitioners can receive 15 Hours of CEUS

You don’t need any prior experience with somatic work, yoga, or movement practices. All bodies, all levels of mobility, and all backgrounds are welcome.
This work is also an opportunity to discover ease in the body as a skill—something that can be learned and practiced to create healthier, more coherent patterns in the body.
